This page explains exactly what happens after you submit a request, who contacts you, and what an offer is and is not worth at each stage. No surprises.
First responses are typically the same day. We do not guarantee a time, because it depends on who is at the desk and what they are already working - and a guarantee we could not keep would be worth nothing to you.
This is the part most sites are vague about, so here it is plainly: the number a dealer gives you before seeing the vehicle is based on what you told them. It is a serious, informed estimate from someone who buys cars for a living - but it is confirmed after they physically appraise the vehicle.
That means the appraisal can move the number, in either direction. Undisclosed damage, mechanical faults, missing keys or mileage that does not match will pull it down. Condition better than described occasionally pushes it up.
The way to protect your number is to describe the vehicle accurately in the first place. An honest description that survives inspection beats a flattering one that does not.
Nothing. There is no fee to you at any point, and no obligation to accept anything. Dealerships pay us for the enquiry - that is how the service is funded, and we would rather tell you than have you wonder. Read more on who runs this and how it is paid for.
They go to the dealerships we send your request to, so those dealerships can contact you about your vehicle. They are not sold to unrelated advertisers or data brokers. The privacy policy sets out exactly what is collected and how to have it deleted.
That is normal and it does not stop you selling. See selling a vehicle with an outstanding loan.
Year, make, model and mileage. About thirty seconds, free, and no obligation to sell.
